Gaziantep, formerly one of the Antep peoples, is the eponymous province in the center of the Turkish region of Southeastern Anatolia in the Mediterranean. As a city, it has the largest population in the southeast. It is the first in terms of industry and development. Gaziantep, Şehitkamil and Şahinbey are divided into two districts. In terms of development, the 20th district of Turkey is the center of the major cities. Gaziantep, Turkey is also the most experienced of the old city and is still one of the oldest cities in the world. In addition to Gaziantep, Turkey also has a very important place in industry and trade. The reasons for this are Gaziantep in a position between Anatolia and the Middle East and its proximity to the port cities. The symbols of Gaziantep include Gaziantep Castle, Baklava and Pistachios.
The city center is surrounded to the north and northwest by Kahramanmaraş, to the northeast by Yavuzeli, to the east by Nizip, to the southeast by Oğuzeli, to the south by Kilis, to the southwest by Nurdağı and to the west by İslahiye.
