Kraków Airport (KRK)
Krakow Airport (KRK) is located west of Krakow in the village of Balice. The new terminal of Kraków Airport is connected to the train station and the airport parking garage. It is the second busiest airport in Poland by passenger numbers.
Krakow is the former capital of Poland and still one of the most important cities in the country. It is also considered to be one of the most beautiful cities in Europe due to the excellent preservation of the buildings and the rich artistic cultural heritage.
The Old Town of Krakow, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is full of beautiful buildings in Gothic, Baroque and Renaissance style. Every year more than two million tourists visit Krakow, not only because of the friendliness of the inhabitants and the allure of the city, but also because it is very close to the Wieliczka Salt Mine and the Auschwitz-Birkenau Memorial and Museum.
