Nantes Airport (NTE)
The largest airport in Western France is located in "la commune de Bouguenais". Nantes airport is a hub for Volotea and Transavia France. The westernmost of France's major cities, Nantes is one of those cities that is nowhere else on the road. At least that is the situation today; in the past it was very different. Until the nineteenth century, Nantes was one of the most important port cities in France. Today, Nantes is the eighth largest city in France, with more than 600,000 inhabitants in the urban area. The historic part of the city stands on the north bank of the Loire, around the confluence of the Erdre River.
