Usak Airport (USQ)
The city of Uşak is located in the Aegean region, which connects Western and Central Anatolia in the Aegean region.
The Uşak region has been a residential area since well-known times. The oldest known name of the city is Temenothyti. The city was named by the Herakians after Temenos, the son of Aristochose. Temenothyria is named after the Flavus Flaviopolis. The old name of Uşak city center is Uşşak. The word usak has two meanings. The word usak means land of lovers. Evliya Çelebi interpreted this name in its famous Seyahat name as the land of lovers. In addition, the book "Historical Place Names in Anatolia" states that the name Uşak is derived here from the name of the city "Obsekion".
